
Consumer goods group PZ Cussons, has won three awards at the just-ended 10th Marketing World Awards held in Accra, Ghana.
The company won two group awards and an individual award presented to its Regional Head of Marketing for Kenya and Ghana.
Camel antiseptic which has been on the Ghanaian market since 1992, providing superior family protection from germs won Family Brand of the Year (silver), its popular Cussons baby moments campaign, a baby photo contest, which has been organized for three consecutive seasons in Ghana emerged the PR Campaign for the Year at the continental awards.
PZ Cussons Regional Head of Marketing for Kenya and Ghana, Madam Hafsa-Rimantha Arthur was adjudged the Marketing professional of the year for her exceptional contribution to her brands success.
Madam Hafsa-Rimantha expressed her excitement for the awards and attributed the success to hard work and dedication.
“I am excited naturally to be acknowledged for the work that we put into the marketing space and the marketing fraternity. I think it is a very warm feeling and I’m grateful to the organizers of this event for identifying that.
She added that, the company aims at doubling its business in the next five years. “We’ve had a very tremendous performance in the last two years. This year definitely promises to be another very strong performing brand. We are seeking to double our business in the next five years and that means we are going to go all out when it comes to marketing and proper marketing so everyone in the space should watch us.” Madam Hafsa-Rimantha noted.
The 10th Marketing World Awards brought together marketing leaders and brands across the African continent to be honoured for their outstanding contribution towards sustaining their brands for the year 2020.
